At Air Tindi we work hard to fulfill your travel arrangements as scheduled, sometimes events beyond our control or unforeseen situations may lead to delays, cancelations or denied boarding. When faced with a travel disruption, we will do our very best to minimize any inconvenience.
If you are denied boarding, your flight is cancelled or delayed for at least two hours, or your baggage is lost or damaged, you may be entitled to certain standards of treatment and compensation under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations. Categories of Flight Disruption
Flight disruption (Controllable)
A disruption would fall under this segment if the contributing factors were not due to circumstances listed under the previous categories.
Controllable Disruption (Within Air Tindi’s control, but required for flight safety.)
Flight disruptions that fall under this category exist to ensure passenger safety and are often governed by aviation law and regulation.
Uncontrollable Disruption (Situations outside Air Tindi’s control)
Here is a non-exhaustive list of the examples provided by the Canadian Transportation Agency which outline situations considered outside a carrier’s control.
It is important to form an understanding of each category listed above as they determine your rights and entitlements outlined by the Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
