Carry-On

Q: Is carry-on baggage permitted?

A: Yes, on some flights.

Our Twin Otter aircraft are not equipped with overhead bins or certified under seat storage and carry-ons are not permitted on flights operated on this aircraft (primarily operated to Gamètì, Łutsël K’é, and Wekweètì).

The Dash 8 and Dash 7 are equipped to permit carry-on baggage as outlined by Transport Canada regulations.

Q: What is permitted onboard?

A: A small purse, medication, cell phone, tablet, or laptop are accepted onboard all aircraft. Items carried onboard must be stowed in the seat back for takeoff and landing.

If traveling on one of our Dash 8 or Dash7 aircraft, two carry-on items will be accepted at a combined size of 9”x16”x22” no greater than 25 lbs.

Q: What if I’m traveling with a musical instrument or fragile item?

A: Musical instruments and fragile items will need to be checked on flights operated by the Twin Otter.

Provided you are traveling on our Dash 8 or Dash 7, and the musical instrument meets the guidelines above it may be carried onboard. In the event the instrument does not meet maximum size or weight restrictions above, it will be required to be checked. These items may be Sky Checked (given to the crew for stowage upon boarding and returned upon deplaning at destination)
