Air Tindi is currently looking for a Shuttle Driver. We pride our self on safety, customer satisfaction and professionalism. While based in Yellowknife NT, Air Tindi has been providing services for over 35 years, across Canada and in many different capacities, including essential schedule services to Northern communities, commercial industries (mining), tourism, government, and community support services.
Fleet: de Havilland Canada Dash-7, de Havilland Canada Twin Otter, Beech King Air 250, de Havilland Canada Turbo Otter, Cessna Caravan.
Responsibilities
Reports to the Assistant Manager – Passenger Services
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for:
· Positive customer service interactions.
· Handling of goods and materials, including the loading and unloading of goods.
· Driving a coach vehicle with passengers and freight.
· Load and unload goods/freight to be shipped and received.
· Inspect and verify shuttle vehicle is in good operating condition as per safety regulations.
· Following all traffic regulations.
Requirements
· Grade 12.
· A background in professional driving and customer service, and;
· Ability to communicate and correspond clearly and precisely in English.
· Ability to lead by example.
· Work in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to self-manage timed projects.
· Must be organized and detail orientated.
· A safety conscious individual who can work unsupervised.
· Valid drivers’ license.
· Hold or ability to obtain a Class 3 license.
· Experience with driving a passenger coach bus.
· Ability to repeatedly lift 25 kg.
· Ability to withstand working in the cold for extended periods of time.
· Sit/stand for over one hour time periods.
· Effectively manage stressful situations, people, and time constraints on a daily basis.
