While based in Yellowknife NT, Air Tindi has been providing services for over 35 years, across Canada and in many different capacities, including essential schedule services to Northern communities, commercial industries (mining), tourism, government, and community support services.

Fleet: de Havilland Canada Dash-7, de Havilland Canada Twin Otter, Beech King Air 250, de Havilland Canada Turbo Otter, Cessna Caravan.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Director of Maintenance

The Maintenance Controller and Programs Supervisor will be responsible for:

 

  • Forecast, plan and scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Working with technicians and supply chain to ensure they have time, space, supplies, and parts needed to carry out planned maintenance.
  • Management of the training syllabus, scheduling, and training completion for the maintenance department.
  • Management of technical publications.
  • Manage on-boarding of new personnel.
  • Work with the DOM, Production Manager, and travel co-ordinator to manage crew scheduling.
  • As required, assist the DOM, QA manager, and Production manager with Safety Management related topics and reports.
  • Ability to work in all sectors of the industry, including, large and small aircraft, floats / Transport Category, supply chain, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, research & development, manufacturing.
  • As required, assist with general administrative tasks.
  • Perform any other duties as required or needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous aviation experience considered an asset.
  • Previous supervisor experience considered an asset.
  • Highly motivated, organized, goal and results oriented individual who thrives under pressure.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
